You don't have to have a full time job to appreciate the appeal of an extended weekend...especially when it is sunny and hot and you are surrounded by friends and family!!
This weekend has been one of those memorable ones, with everything from a trip to the farmer's market, eating out for lunch complete with a stop at the ice cream shop, swimming in Grammie's pond at Cousin Braeden's birthday party, to running through the sprinkler with Nana and Grandpa!
I have had a blast, and so have Isaiah and Mama! Through it all, we still are reminded that the reason we have the extra special weekend is because of the men and women like Daddy who have answered the call of duty and who have had to be away from their homes and loved ones either for a little while or for a long time.
Thank you to those who serve or have served in our armed forces...this year, we know a little bit more about the sacrifices you have made.
Daddy, we love you; come home safely! I need you to help me learn how to swim (as you will see in the video below whenever I can upload it...taking longer than 5 hours)!! -Love, EllieV.
