Mama is on vacation this week, so we have been doing some "more fun than usual" type of things. Yesterday, we invited Aunt Sara and Uncle Geoff along with their herd of my cousins to our local water park. We had a great time swimming and splashing and playing in the sand. Jackson and I were like the same poles of two magnets...Mama said we liked to head in 2 different directions in the very busy swimming pool, but she worried for no good reason. No one got "permanently lost," though we did misplace Lydia for a short period of time; and no one drowned! All in all, I call that a successful day at the water park--it was great to cool off on the hottest day we have had lately!
Z, on the other hand, didn't have as much fun as the rest of us. He was complaining that the water was too cold, but I think he might have been faking his chattering teeth and quivering lips--he is tricky like that! He did enjoy playing in the big sand pit, though; he is going to be pooping sand for a few days, I think! He and Lydia had a good time together while Jacksie and I played on the big kid toys and Ethan and Braeden rode the Big big kid waterslides! I look forward to next year, when hopefully, I will be tall enough to ride them too! It is on my TO DO list for when Daddy comes home.
Here is our group picture...a good-looking bunch!
