The last of the warmer weather!

We have been taking advantage of some of the nicer days lately to get out and enjoy the local parks in our county...the leaves have been changing and slowly falling off the trees.  Our family, of late, has taken to the enjoyable activity of trying to catch the falling leaves before they hit the ground!  If you haven't tried it before, you should!  There is something neat about halting the inevitable fall of something that has never touched the ground...especially when it is a beautiful shade of yellow, red, or orange!

Here are some samples of leaves that were recently collected by Daddy, Mama, Z and me on a beautiful autumn day; we found so many different colors!  I have also included some photos from the many hikes we have been on lately.

Enjoy the weather while it lasts...snow will be here to stay soon enough!  In fact, the most recent first big snow storm brought down most of the remaining leaves that were hanging on to our front yard trees!

Winter is coming...
