A Gloriously Fun Memorial Day 2016

We are wrapping up the unofficial kick off of summer-time--Memorial Day Weekend.  As we are learning to enjoy all the perks of our new house, we invited some of our family up to share some spontaneous fun!  Boy, did we have fun...we are all exhausted tonight--and I still have 1.5 days of school left to get through this week!  I think I will not argue too much when Mama makes me go to bed early tonight.  Here are some pics and a video of our extra awesome weekend.  And, just so you don't think we would forget the reason for the holiday--don't worry!  We had our own flag raising this morning and a serious talk with Daddy about what people have sacrificed for our country...I am thankful that we get to live in a place that provides freedom and opportunity when so many people do not have these blessings.  I hope your memorial day weekend was as memorable as ours!

Early lake swimming is just a little cold!
We don't have much of a beach right now, but it was so much fun!!
Enjoying the nice weather; Mama relaxing with Papa and Grammie
Snacks on the back porch--Lydia's lips were a little blue from our cold swim!!
A much warmer past-time--board games with Daddy and Cousins
Aunt Sara snuggling the two cutest boys here!
Lydia and I are as close as sisters--here we are in our patriotic garb.
Even warmer and sunnier on Monday afternoon--perfect day for a cookout with family--and not as cold for swimming!
Playing outside--bikes and scooters and water guns and
kickball and relays and obstacle courses--we sure know how to enjoy ourselves!
Sammy thought wearing Mama's visor like this was super awesome...he is pretty cute!
